People

I was looking through the email that I got while I was overseas. Yes, I kept all of it! It's interesting to see who kept in touch and who didn't. It's weird because people seem to want to be closer to you when you're farthest away. But when you're standing right in front of them, they seem to lose interest. I'm probably just as guilty as anyone else.
Those missed opportunities. Those mistakes that may have cost a relationship. Being human has it's benefits and its costs.

ain't life a bitch sometimes....
No time to dwell on past thoughts or mistakes ..don't worry on what may have been...but move off it ..and make something of your present.

the mistakes, the missed opportunities...the woulda, shoulda, couldas...why does everything seem so much clearer after the opportunity has passed? If I could have only changed some of the things I have done in my life, who would I be today?

When there is distance the heart is given the oppurtunity to imagine... when reality and what you have imagined are not the same what do you do? Months down the line you read posted comments about missed oppurtunities, mistakes you both made and jaded hearts and the you take a deep breath... and breathe. "Being human does have its benefits and its costs", on both of you.

It is sad that once someone is gone from your life, they are gone forever and the only thing they leave behind are memories, good and bad. It is a part of life. You win some, you lose some. But to retrieve what is lost- it is impossible. Simply impossible.
